Regular double tube reamer
The regular double tube reamer is used in conventional (non-wireline) double tube core drilling systems. Positioned just above the core bit, it enlarges the borehole slightly to protect the outer tube and reduce wear during drilling. By maintaining borehole stability and minimizing friction, the reamer improves drilling efficiency and supports better core recovery, especially in hard or abrasive formations.
